Ring Supervisor:

This role is for 4th Degrees and above only. The role of the ring supervisor is to work in unison with the referee and all umpires. They have the overall say of what happens in the ring, making sure complete fairness is upheld and all affiliations are treated equally. If a competitor / coach is abusive to any official, they have the right to disqualify them. They are responsible for ensuring all officials are scoring fairly and keeping the contact at a safe level that spectators can enjoy.

Ring supervisors are also responsible for all paperwork.

Time Keepers / Recorders:

Time keepers must be between 9 and 14 years of age and 1st Kup and up. Their role is to keep the time on the stopwatch during bouts and record all results in capital letters on the official paperwork. They will be supervised by the ring supervisor. On pattern results, the supervisor will call out loud the score given by each official and the recorder will write them down.

Umpires:

The umpire must be 15 years and above and hold a minimum of 1st Degree. Their role is to work closely with the ring supervisor. They must be able to score all competitors without any bias. If they are seen to be not following this rule, they will be changed by the supervisor and given a less trusted job.

Referee:

The referee must be 21 years and above and hold a minimum of 2nd Degree. Their job is to work in unison with the supervisor. They must have complete control of the ring at all times, keeping both competitors safe. A uncontrolled ring can damage the reputation of any group, so this role is important and can only be undertaken by trusted competent referees. The referee must know what the L.T.S.I. Tournament Umpire expects from them, so we encourage all referees to look up the rules prior to events.
